Worthing Highdown Division

Worthing Highdown consists of 4 Districts:

Rainbow, Brownies and Guides from all the Districts enjoyed visits to the pantomime, craft afternoons and carol services.  In Northbrook District, units had a busy end to last term with a Christmas craft afternoon, district carol service  ‘Something Special’s Going On’ and unit shows and parties. They had a district outing to the pantomime, which was enjoyed by all. Their big adventure this term is a trip to the thinking day service at Westminster Abbey, combined with a trip to the Victoria and Albert museum.

Goring and Ferring District had a very enjoyable Christmas Carol Service and units also held their own Christmas events such as an evening Scuba Diving and Christmas parties. They are now in the midst of planning a District Afternoon with Drum Jam and a Special Rainbows 21st Birthday outing.  Some of the units still have waiting lists and it is encouraging to watch 1st Goring Guide unit growing again.

Durrington Brownies got a mention in the Worthing Advertiser for taking part in the Christmas card competition for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

6th Durrington Brownies are organising a sponsored walk on 6th April to raise money for cardiac arrest in children, in memory of Megan Williams, one of their Brownies who died suddenly last year.
