Magazine article opportunity

We have been contacted by the NYA to feature in their magazine. They would like to do an interview style piece with a Senior Section Member. They are particularly interested in members with additional needs or someone from a minority group. If you know anyone who would be a good representative for Girlguiding UK and would be prepared to feature in their magazine please could you forward these questions to them.

- Tell us a bit about yourself (e.g.. name, age, where you come from)
- What do you do? (tell us about your local Girlguiding UK unit, how long you have been a member and the activities you take part in – we are interested in hearing how you make changes/make a difference to the community)

- How and why did you get involved? (how did you find out about the Girlguiding UK and what attracted you to them?)
- What do you enjoy most? (what are the benefits to you of bring a member of Girlguiding UK ? E.g. friends, learn new skills, make a difference to the world etc.)

- How do others benefit? (from a specific activity you’ve been involved in with Girlguiding UK )
- What support do you get? (from Girlguiding UK leaders and other members?)

Answers need to be e-mailed to seniorsection@girlguiding.org.uk by 22 August 2008.
