YAPTON GUIDES - Save the Children

We adopted Littlehampton's Save the Children Shop on Saturday 21st and Saturday 28th March.  17 Guides took part on rota basis, working morning or afternoon shifts.  We are still waiting to see how much money we raised.

 2^nd ANGMERING BROWNIES - Water Aid

Two days after World Water Day (22^nd March 2009) we held an open evening to raise money for the Girlguiding UK ‘Changing the World’ challenge, and our project was Water Aid. 

We had quiz questions around the room, from the Water Aid web site, and held a raffle where all the prizes were water based – e.g. bubbles, shampoo, bath sponges, bottled water - and we served refreshments, for which we asked a donation.  The Brownies entertained their families by singing some of the songs in the ‘Sing for Change’ pack, using the CD as backing. 

Raffle money and donations came to £30.73, which will be sent off as our contribution.
