Project Streamline is a GirlGuiding UK initiative to streamline & simplify the way we manage administration & bureaucracy by providing volunteers with access to shared information and straightforward processes. We have been very fortunate to have Angela Purser on the project team from the beginning; so, our County needs have been represented.
How will it work?
A key part of the project is to implement a system, which will be accessible via a secure website, so that adult members can update their personal and unit information. The system will also remove the need for much of the tedious paper record-keeping & allow Leaders to spend more time planning for and working with the girls.
What is happening in Sussex West?
In order to enable Leaders, Commissioners and Advisers to use the system effectively and efficiently we are now setting up a Volunteer Support Network (VSN). This network will provide information about the new system through training and support from key users. The VSN will comprise a County Membership Support co-ordinator, Streamline Trainers and Streamline Key Users. The County Membership Support co-ordinator has been appointed and is Pam. It is planned to eventually have at least 1 Trainer per Division and 1 Key User per District/ 6-8 Units.
