A ‘Special Hello’ to you all from your County President

Yes – this really is me – taken way back in the 1950s when I was a Guide in Plumstead Common, South East London. My Guiding story began in the late 1940s when I was a Brownie in Woolwich – a very keen Sprite – but sadly no photos to prove it!

Since then, my Guiding life has gone from strength to strength and I have spent over 60 wonderful years belonging to this wonderful Guiding family.

What an enormous privilege it is for me to have been invited to become County President for Girlguiding Sussex West. I shall do my utmost to support the County and all its members in this wonderful game of Guiding.

I have been a member in 8 different counties across 4 different regions and enjoyed appointments as a leader with Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Rangers as well as having Commissioner and Adviser roles. I just loved being a Trainer too. Now I am a Trefoil Guild member and my Guiding journey continues. I owe so much to that vision of BP all those years ago.

I have enjoyed so many wonderful Guiding moments, with some embarrassing ones too!
